DETAILED ITINERARY:

DAY 1: NAIROBI / LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

You will be picked up in the morning from the airport or your hotel and depart Nairobi for Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival at the lodge, you will check in, have your lunch and a short rest before going for your afternoon game drive in the park.

The park is home to warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard. White and black rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago and you will find white rhino at the southern end. The park has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with many species of birds found here.

DAY 2:  LAKE NAKURU / MAASAI MARA

After breakfast you will depart Nakuru for Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch enjoy some free time until 1600hrs, at which point you will start your first game drive.

Set in the heart of Africa’s great plains, the Maasai Mara boasts 1,672 square kilometers of unspoilt wilderness. It is home to the highest concentration of animals and birds anywhere on the continent.

DAY 3: MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

A very early morning game drive in the Masai Mara – the ideal time to see game as temperatures are cooler and hopefully lion, cheetah and leopard will be roaming the vast grasslands in search of prey. Return to the lodge for breakfast. The rest of the morning at leisure or partake in optional activities, a visit to Masai village to see their nomadic life this at extra cost. After lunch at the lodge, there is a chance to relax by the swimming pool before an evening game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Optional Balloon Safari
A well worth it and recommended activity in the Masai Mara National Reserve is the balloon safari early in the morning; you will be woken and driven to the departure site. Once in the air, the view of the surrounding landscape, the rising of the sun between the mountains and the congregation of the animals at the river is beautiful. This all concludes with a champagne breakfast and memories of a lifetime.

DAY 4: MAASAI MARA / LAKE NAIVASHA

Leave Maasai Mara with an enroute game drive for Lake Naivasha to arrive in good time for lunch. Afternoon at relaxation or visit any of the following: Hells gate National Reserve at USD 45 Per Person. The only reserve in Kenya where you can enjoy game viewing while on a Bicycle. Boat ride at USD 30 per person or a Visit to Crescent Island at USD 40 Per Person.

Overnight Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge (Full board basis).

DAY 5: LAKE NAIVASHA / AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast you will begin your safari by driving south towards Amboseli National Park with lunch enroute. Upon arrival at your lodge/camp, you will have some rest before going for your game drive.

In the heart of the park lies an amazing swamp fed by underground springs from the melting snows of Mount Kilimanjaro, which attracts elephants and hippos are in abundance. Amboseli is justly famous for its big game, particularly its elephants, which are the most studied in the world.

DAY 6: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

On this day, you will have an early morning drive which gives you the best chance of viewing Mt. Kilimanjaro, as the clouds tend to build up as the day progresses. Return to the lodge for breakfast and then partake in some leisure time before lunch. You will go on afternoon game drive until the late evening before returning to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

DAY 7: AMBOSELI / MOMBASA BEACH   

Enjoy one last early morning safari drive in Amboseli, then take breakfast before departing for Mombasa. As we exit the park, you’ll be seeing your last views of Amboseli. However, on your upcoming train journey, you’ll be passing through both Tsavo West and Tsavo East Parks for more vistas and possibly wildlife viewing. Your driver/guide will bring you to the train station at Emali. There, he’ll assist you with tickets and transfer to the Madaraka Express, the new high-speed train to Mombasa and the coast. Upon arrival in Mombasa, you will be picked up and transferred to your beach hotel, to start your beach holiday.

Overnight at Prideinn Flamingo Beach Resort (All Inclusive basis).

DAY 8 – 10: MOMBASA BEACH EXPERIENCE   

You have three full days to spend at your own pleasure. You can decide to simply relax at the beach or enjoy a multitude of water sports and other activities. If you would like, we can also arrange for guided tours to nearby attractions in Mombasa and surrounding areas at an extra cost.

Overnight at Prideinn Flamingo Beach Resort (All Inclusive basis).

DAY 11: MOMBASA – NAIROBI   

After breakfast at the hotel, our representative will pick you up and transfer you Mombasa SGR train station, where you will depart for Nairobi. Thus, completing your tour with us.
