Located in south eastern Kenya about 240km (150 miles) from Nairobi on the highway to Mombasa. Tsavo West forms one of the largest wildlife conservation areas on Earth and is one of the largest national parks in Kenya. Famous for its Red Elephants and the legend of the Maneaters of Tsavo.
DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: NAIROBI / TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK
You will be picked up from the airport or your hotel in the Morning and depart for Tsavo West where upon arrival at your lodge/camp, you will check in, have your lunch and have a rest before going for your game drive in search of the endangered black rhino and other animals.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge/camp.
DAY 2: TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK
After your breakfast in the morning, you will leave your safari lodge/camp for your game drive which includes a visit to Mzima springs where Hippos, Crocodiles, different species of fish can be seen in crystal clear water and lots of different species of birds. You will also visit the Shetani lava flow where you will be able to see the Africa’s highest snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro (weather permitting) from a distance. Return to your lodge for lunch. Evening Game drive with another visit to the Rhino sanctuary with a hope of seeing the endangered Black Rhino.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge/camp.
DAY 3: TSAVO WEST / NAIROBI
You will have an early morning game drive before going for your breakfast. Afterwards you will depart for Nairobi with lunch en-route arriving late in the afternoon. Drop off at your hotel or Airport.
