DETAILED ITINERARY:
Nairobi National Park – 4 hours(0630-1030hrs)
Pick up at 0600hrs for this unique wildlife sanctuary is just a few kilometers from Nairobi’s bustling city Centre, with Nairobi boasting of having the only wildlife sanctuary to be found in the city precincts in the world. Despite its proximity over 50 species of mammals can be found there, including four of the Big Five with elephant species not being represented. The tour also includes a visit to the animal orphanage at the park gate.
David Sheldrick – (1100hrs- 1200hrs)
Drive to Sheldrick Baby Elephant Orphanage which is open 1 hr daily. You can visit between 11am and 12 noon every day, and see the elephants being fed and playing. In addition, there is a keeper who will give a talk about the elephants, where they came from, how they are getting on, and how some of the previous orphans are progressing. You can get really close to the elephants. The orphanage also takes in rhinos and so if you are lucky, you will get the chance to see a young rhino.
Giraffe Centre – (1230hrs – 1300hrs)
Your next stop will be the famous Giraffe Center, where you’ll have the rare opportunity to come face to face with these beautiful creatures. Lucky visitors might even get a kiss from these unique creatures.
A brief stop for lunch in any of the nearby restaurants.
Karen Blixen Museum, (1400- 1700hrs)
After lunch, you’ll wrap up your day with a visit to the famous Karen Blixen Museum. The museum house is in a serene environment that seems to belong to the past, surrounded by a tranquil garden and indigenous forest, with a splendid view of the Ngong Hills.
At the end of the show, you are dropped back to your hotel or airport where our services come to an end.
